The 2026 Sustainable Ag Expo Program Is Here

Research-backed solutions and real-world insight for today's winegrowers. 

The program for the 2026 Sustainable Ag Expo is now available, giving growers and agricultural professionals an early look at two days of practical vineyard education, expert speakers, and industry networking. 

Hosted by Vineyard Team, the Sustainable Ag Expo returns November 10–11, 2026 in San Luis Obispo, California with research-backed strategies and real-world solutions designed to help vineyards improve efficiency, sustainability, and long-term success. 

Research That Addresses Today's Vineyard Challenges 

This year's program features leading researchers and industry professionals sharing practical solutions for today's vineyard challenges, from disease management to emerging technology. 

Highlights include: 

• Dr. Michelle Moyer (Washington State University) on modern grape varieties and the future of sustainable viticulture  

• Dr. Pam Marrone (Invasive Species Corporation) on the latest advances in biologicals for pest management  

• Dr. Brent Warneke (Oregon State University) on vineyard sprayer technologies and precision applications  

• Dr. Charlotte Decock (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) sharing findings from 87 California vineyard blocks to help growers improve soil health  

• Dr. Akif Eskalen (UC Davis) discussing the future of sustainable disease management  

• A grower panel on holistic management of vine mealybug and leafroll led by UCANR, UC Berkeley, and industry experts  

Additional sessions explore agricultural labor, invasive insects, pesticide safety, and emerging technologies, giving attendees practical information they can take home and apply in the vineyard. 

More Learning Beyond the Event 

A two-day ticket includes access to 11 online courses available October 12 through December 13, extending learning well beyond the in-person event. 

The expanded online program provides additional flexibility for attendees to learn on their own schedule while working toward Department of Pesticide Regulation and Certified Crop Advisor continuing education requirements. 

More Than Education 

Attendees can explore more than 60 exhibitors showcasing the latest vineyard products and services, enjoy networking favorites like Sustainable Gear & Beer and the Donut Social, and connect with growers, researchers, suppliers, and agricultural professionals from across California and beyond. 

Breakfast and lunch are included each day, creating additional opportunities for conversations that continue beyond the seminar room.
